Trademark
CodeisCode is a trademark of CodeisCode LLC. and we ask if you are going to start a site about or related to CodeisCode and it's Products that you do not use "CodeisCode" or "WpEp" in the domain name or subdomain of your web site. Alternatives could be simply utilizing "CIC" or other variations within your domain name that do not infringe on our brand. We must do this to protect and preserve our trademark and to avoid brand confusion that results in user confusion.
If you already own a domain name that includes "CodeisCode" then redirecting it to an alternative that does not infringe on our trademark is acceptable as long as the site that the user ends up on after being redirected does not contain "CodeisCode" within the domain name or subdomain and that you cease promoting and actively using the infringing domain name when mentioning or linking to the site and instead utilize the alternative going forward.
A good rule of thumb is if the domain name, subdomain or the web site itself looks like it could possibly be the CodeisCode web site or a web site operating on our behalf, do not do it or stop doing it.
This policy is to protect not only our brand, but existing and future users of CodeisCodes' Products.
If you run across a site that uses the "CodeisCode" trademark within its domain name or subdomain, please contact us and let us know so we can reach out to the owners and notify them of this policy.
